Apple Watch Series 7 orders start Friday; available on October 15
- Apple Watch Series 7 orders start Friday, October 8, with availability beginning Friday, October 15.
- The Series 7 comes with a larger, more advanced display, improved durability, faster charging, new aluminum case colors, and watchOS 8 software.
Apple announced on Monday morning that preorders for the new Apple Watch Series 7 will begin this Friday. Series 7 will be made available in the stores globally, starting October 15.
The Apple Watch Series 7 was unveiled on September 14 alongside the new iPhones and iPad Mini, but the company had only stated that it would be available later in the fall. The Apple Watch usually goes on sale around the same time as new iPhones, so the delay might suggest that Apple was experiencing supply issues.
The new Apple Watch has a larger screen than previous models, as well as a faster charging time and a new chip. However, unlike some previous models, it does not include any new health features. For example, last year's Apple Watch Series 6 added blood oxygen monitoring.
The Apple Watch Series 7 starts at $399.
