iOS 18.1 to Launch Apple Intelligence in October
Apple has set its sights on October for the debut of Apple Intelligence. The initial rollout will coincide with iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. This timing follows the major OS updates anticipated in mid-to-late September, which will not yet include Apple Intelligence.
Historical release patterns suggest iOS 18.1 will likely be unveiled towards the end of October. For instance:
- iOS 17.1: October 25, 2023
- iOS 16.1: October 24, 2022
- iOS 15.1: October 25, 2021
Given this precedent, a release around October 23 or 24 is highly probable. While a Friday launch on October 25 seems unlikely due to Apple's usual schedule, a Monday release on October 28 remains a possibility.
