- Want to see what could be the iPhone 17 lineup? Leaked video inside!
If Apple sticks to its usual release schedule, we’re just six months away from the iPhone 17 launch. But thanks to a newly leaked hands-on video, we may already have our first look at Apple’s next-gen lineup—including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, and iPhone 17 Pro.

The video, posted by iDeviceHelp, showcases 3D-printed dummy units based on internal Apple design files. While leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt, these models provide our best look yet at what’s coming in September.
What’s New in the iPhone 17 Lineup?
The biggest shake-up seems to be in Apple’s Pro models, where the iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to feature a full-width camera bar across the top of the rear casing. If true, this marks the most dramatic design shift for the iPhone in years.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air—a possible replacement for the iPhone 16 Plus—sports a smaller, more compact camera bump.

The standard iPhone 17, however, sticks with a more traditional layout that closely resembles the iPhone 16.
Size & Thickness: A Slimmer Air, a Bigger Pro?
According to the leak, here’s how the thickness of each model compares:
Model | Thickness |
---|---|
iPhone 17 | 7.28 mm (same as iPhone 16) |
iPhone 17 Air | 5.5 mm (incredibly thin) |
iPhone 17 Pro | 8.64 mm (thicker than iPhone 16 Pro) |
If accurate, the iPhone 17 Pro could be the thickest Pro model yet—possibly to accommodate a larger battery. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air may be so thin that it won’t support MagSafe—similar to the recently released iPhone 16e, which dropped Apple’s magnetic charging system.

What About the iPhone 17 Pro Max?
Though not featured in the video, leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will essentially be a larger version of the iPhone 17 Pro, retaining the camera bar design. Notably, some sources claim it could be thicker than its predecessor at 8.72 mm, making it bulkier than even the iPhone 16 Pro Max (8.25 mm).
More RAM for Pro Models
A spec bump is also expected for the Pro and Pro Max models, with reports suggesting they’ll feature 12GB of RAM—4GB more than the iPhone 16 Pro lineup. That’s a significant upgrade that could lead to better multitasking, improved AI performance, and extended longevity for future iOS updates.
Final Thoughts
With Apple’s next iPhone lineup already making waves in the rumor mill, the iPhone 17 series could be one of the most visually diverse iPhone lineups yet. While the Pro models are expected to see major design changes, the standard iPhone 17 seems to be playing it safe.
The biggest wildcard? The iPhone 17 Air—Apple’s rumored replacement for the iPhone 16 Plus. With an ultra-thin frame and possible MagSafe omission, it could be a controversial addition to the lineup.
Apple is expected to officially unveil the iPhone 17 series in September 2025, but with leaks already flooding in, expect to see plenty more details surface in the coming months.
