Apple releases critical security patches with numerous security fixes
- Numerous security holes were patched in the latest updates.
- Now available for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Safari and Apple Watch.
Apple has started to release software updates for their products to patch security vulnerabilities, of which there are 30+ fixed. This is significantly more than previous updates,
and may be a response to NSO Group’s Pegasus spyware.
The patches, now available as iOS/iPadOS 14.7, macOS 11.5, watchOS 7.6, tvOS 14.7, Safari 14.1.2, and Security Update 2021-004 for macOS 10.15 Catalina’s and Security Update 2021-005 for macOS 10.14 Mojave. Numerous users on Reddit and Twitter also report that the battery drain issue in iOS 14.6 is fixed. It is highly recommended to upgrade immediately, to prevent malicious actors from taking advantage of your devices.
