- It features a 12MP webcam which also supports Center Stage.
Apple has announced the Studio Display, its latest external monitor that will sit alongside the Pro Display XDR. The display will be available from March 18 with prices starting at $1599 or £1499.
It features a 27-inch 5K panel with 600 nits of brightness, and a custom nano-texture display option which can limit screen glare. It has an aluminum design similar to the 24-inch iMac with thin bezels and interchangeable stands. The stand can be tilted by 30-degrees.
The screen has P3 wide color, one billion colors and TrueTone support, which adjusts the display temperature based on the environment. There is also a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a six-speaker audio setup which supports Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio. An A13 Bionic chip powers Center Stage in video calls, ‘Hey Siri’ support and other features.
The Studio Display also has three USB-C ports and a Thunderbolt 3 port with the ability to power a laptop with 96W.
Apple also announced the Mac Studio, with M1 Max and M1 Ultra chips, up to 128GB RAM and a 64-core GPU. This will be available from $1999 and $3999, respectively.
