- Apple exec Bob Borchers hinted at an Apple Silicon Mac Pro during a new interview.
- Apple will upgrade the entire Mac lineup with Apple Silicon, seeming including the Mac Pro.
- He also reiterated Apple's continued focus on Apple Watch battery life.
In a new interview with India Today, Apple VP of Worldwide Product Marketing Bob Borchers commented on the future possibility of an Apple Silicon Mac Pro, as well as Apple’s continued focus on Apple Watch battery life.
Despite countless rumors, Apple has yet to confirm or deny plans for an Apple Silicon Mac Pro. Though Borchers didn’t specifically mention the Mac Pro, he did say that the company’s intention is to have the “entire product line” running on Apple Silicon, indicating that the Mac Pro will be updated in the near future.
We believe strongly that Apple silicon can power and transform experiences from the MacBook Air to all the way up to the Mac Studio. We've been very clear from the beginning that our goal is to take our entire product line to Apple Silicon. And that's something we intend to do.”
As for the Apple Watch, battery life is a constant complaint. Many draw comparisons to watches from brands such as Garmin, which have better battery life but lack most of the “smart” features of the Apple Watch, and puzzle over the fact that Apple offers such power-efficient MacBooks, while the watches lack that efficiency.

Borchers reiterated to India Today that the Apple Watch’s battery life is an ongoing focus at Apple. One of the many solutions, he says, is fast charging. It’s a balancing act between features and battery life for Apple, and it continues to work towards better efficiency in the Apple Watch.
