iPhone 12 announced
- New iPhones come in four variations, with an updated design across the range
- Prices are between $699-$1,399
- All four iPhones come with 5G
Apple CEO Tim Cook unveiled Apple’s new iPhone 12 series earlier today — all with 5G, as was widely expected. The prices range between $699-$1,399.
The phones feature OLED display technology across the board, 'ceramic shield', which has four times better drop performance, and not to mention a refreshed design across the board. Another new feature is 'smart data mode' which helps save battery life. The iPhone 12 is expected to be a super-cycle upgrade year for Apple.
The unveiling of the new iPhone came about a month later than expected, predictably because of disruption from the pandemic.
