Mark Gurman: Apple Watch Series 7 won't feature a blood pressure sensor
- Mark Gurman denies the rumor of a blood pressure sensor in the forthcoming Apple Watch 7.
- Rumors about the device's new features included a blood pressure sensor, but those are now being denied by Gurman.
Back in January, a rumor suggested that the Apple Watch Series 7 would come with a blood pressure sensor. Mark Gurman (84.38% reliability), however, has now said there is "no chance" that a blood pressure sensor will come to Apple’s next smartwatch, despite a Nikkei Asia report that stated otherwise.
A report from Nikkei Asia earlier this week has indicated that the Series 7’s production has been delayed, due to the complicated new design. Along with the production delay, his report also mentioned that the next Apple Watch was indeed going to feature a blood pressure measurement sensor.
After Gurman’s statement, many people started saying they won't buy the Apple Watch Series 7 and that they would rather wait for the Series 8.
Only reason I was going to buy it was for that feature … I’ll wait til next year then 👋
