Steve Jobs, the co-founder and former CEO of Apple, would have turned 68 today (February 24th) had he not passed away in 2011 at the age of 56. Jobs, along with Steve Wozniak, founded Apple in 1976, launching the Apple-1, which revolutionized the personal computer industry. Jobs was later ousted from Apple in 1985 but returned in 1997 when Apple purchased his company NeXT. Jobs oversaw the launch of many of Apple's most popular products, including the iPod, iPhone, iPad, Macintosh, MacBook, and iMac, and services like iTunes and the App Store. Image credit: Inc. Magazine Steve Jobs' influence continues to shape Apple, and CEO Tim Cook often credits Jobs' DNA for the company's success. Today, Apple has more than two billion active devices worldwide, and Cook has built on Jobs' legacy with new products like the AirPods, Apple Watch, and AR/VR headset expected later this year.

On Jobs' birthday, Apple paid tribute to the legend by opening an email in his name called 'remembering Steve' and asked people around the world to share their messages for Jobs, who revolutionized product development and innovation. Jobs was born in San Francisco in 1955, and before founding Apple, he worked for video game maker Atari. Jobs later founded NeXT and bought animation studio Pixar, which produced the first commercial computer-animated feature, Toy Story. Image credit: Inc. Magazine Jobs returned to Apple in 1997, a year after his 'Next' was bought by the tech giant, and served as CEO from 2000 until 2011. Jobs underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in 2004 and later resigned as CEO in August 2011, becoming the company's chairman. Jobs died on October 5th, 2011, at the age of 56, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the tech industry.

As people around the world remember Jobs on his birthday, his impact on the tech industry and product innovation continues to be felt. While Jobs may no longer be with us, his legacy lives on in the company he founded and the products that have become a part of our daily lives.
