  • Leaker Dylandkt has confirmed many suspicions about the upcoming MacBook Air refresh.
  • The device will likely feature light bezels, new colors, and more.
  • Similar design changes present in the new MacBooks Pros will likely be used.

After Apple announced its new MacBook Pro lineup on Monday, the attention of the Apple community has turned to the new heavily rumored MacBook Air coming next year. Leaker Dylandkt has shared more information on what we can expect in next year’s MacBook Air.

According to Dylandkt, the new MacBook Air, which could be called just ‘MacBook,’ will be launched around the middle of 2022. Like the new MacBooks Pro, it will reportedly feature a MagSafe connector, a 1080p webcam, multiple USB-C ports, a 30W power adapter, and no fans. The device is set to be available in similar colors options to the new 24-inch iMac and will reportedly feature off-white bezels and keyboards with full-sized function keys. Full-sized function keys have been reintroduced with the new MacBooks Pro, and the reaction so far has been overwhelmingly positive.

The design will be similar to the new MacBook Pro while being thinner, lighter. There will be a binned option under the configuration options. Multiple external display support will be available, at least 2 displays. The color options will be similar to the iMac 24.

As for the display, Dylandkt says it will likely feature mini-LED technology and may include a notch like the new MacBooks Pros. It will not, however, feature ProMotion, an SD card slot, a tapered design, or an HDMI port, which are in the new MacBooks Pros. YouTuber John Prosser (reliability: 88.46%) has previously said similar things about the new MacBook Air, stating that they will feature two USB-C ports and white bezels.
