Apple expanding Apple Maps ‘Look Around’ feature to Australia
- Apple is reportedly gearing up to capture images in and around Australia.
- Look Around is similar to Street View on Google Maps and provides 360-degree photos of an area.
Apple will expand the Look Around feature on Apple Maps to Australia later this year, according to a report from Der Standard.
The company will be capturing images from this week until December, by driving around and navigating the country. It hasn’t officially confirmed the expansion.
Look Around is similar to Google Street View and allows you to receive a 3D, 360-degree view of an area. You can zoom in, rotate and seamlessly move between cities.
It is already available in the United Kingdom, United States, Ireland, Japan, Canada, Spain and other locations, although only in specific cities.
