iPhone 13 referenced on UK carrier website
- O2 have referenced ‘iPhone 13’ multiple times on a webpage about upcoming device announcements
- The carrier doesn’t specifically iPhone 13 in the website contents but only the source code.
O2, a UK mobile phone carrier, has referenced the iPhone 13 in source code on its website. The source code was discovered by AppleTrack and verified by Apple Scoop.
The link with the iPhone 13 branding fits in with a recent image that claimed to show leaked iPhone 13 packaging. It reiterates that Apple will name this year’s lineup of devices as iPhone 13.
However, it could simply be a placeholder or guess from employees. Although Apple is known to work with mobile phone carriers before the launch of new iPhone models, the name has been referenced by multiple retailers in the past, so shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
Apple will announce the iPhone 13 at an event in September, alongside the Apple Watch Series 7 and AirPods 3. It is expected to confirm the date for the event in the next week.
