- The iPhone 15 Pro's design is rumored to have significant changes.
- Reliable case manufacturer and 3D artist Ian Zelbo provided speculative renders of the device based on CAD files.
- Notable changes include the addition of a USB-C port, slightly curvier frame and glass, and a thicker camera bump.
- The screen size is expected to be similar to its predecessor, but with reduced bezels resulting in a near-edge-to-edge display.
- The CAD files are provided by Apple to factories in Asia to prepare phone cases ahead of launch.
Apple's upcoming flagship smartphone, the iPhone 15 Pro, has been the subject of rumors for months, and now there are speculative renders of the device. The images, which are based on CAD files, were provided by a reliable case manufacturer and 3D artist Ian Zelbo, and suggest some significant changes to the design of the smartphone. The USB-C port is a notable addition to the phone, as is the slightly curvier design of the frame and glass. The camera bump on the back is apparently thicker than the iPhone 14 Pro's, and the volume buttons may be capacitive buttons. The mute switch is smaller and rounder than before, and the screen size is expected to be similar to that of its predecessor. However, the bezels surrounding the display have been reduced, resulting in a near-edge-to-edge display and a reduction in size. According to 9to5Mac, the body of the device is a few millimeters smaller due to the reduction in bezels. The specific CAD here comes from a factory out of China that was seemingly the first to get these files. Historically, CAD files are accurate to the final device in terms of both dimensions and design. Although the renders may not reflect all aspects of Apple's final design, they do suggest some significant changes to the iPhone 15 Pro.
