iPhone 15 Pro to see first price increase since iPhone X
- New rumors state that the iPhone 15 Pro models will feature a price increase.
- This is likely due to rumored hardware upgrades and inflation.
- This could be the first major iPhone price increase since the iPhone X in 2017.
According to Jeff Pu, an analyst at investment firm Haitong, Apple’s next generation of flagship phones will likely see a price increase. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will reportedly be priced higher than the previous Pro models, bringing the first major iPhone price increase since the iPhone X.
This possible price increase is due to rumored hardware upgrades such as a titanium frame, solid-state volume and power buttons, extra Taptic Engines, the A17 Bionic chip, the periscope camera lens on the Pro Max model, and much more.

Today’s report is the second time that price increases have been rumored for the iPhone 15 Pro models. Since the iPhone X in 2017, all Pro iPhone models have started at $999 in the United States, with the Pro Max models starting at $1,099. Though, there have been price increases outside of the U.S. in recent years, notably in the U.K. with prices raised for the iPhone 13 Pro models.
Though the Pro models of this year’s iPhone lineup are expected to increase in price, it is unclear whether the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will become more expensive as well. The current iPhone 14 costs $799, with the iPhone 14 Plus coming in at $899 in the United States.

Similar price increase rumors appeared last year, only to turn out false. With the yearly iPhone launch expected to take place once again this September, it is unclear for now what Apple will do regarding iPhone pricing.
