Apple said this Wednesday that the company has scheduled its earnings result call for the second fiscal quarter of 2021 on Wednesday April 28, 2021. Apple’s CEO Tim Cook and CFO Luca Maestri are expected to join the call to provide insight into the company's earnings. As is the custom, the full earnings report of Q2 2021 will be released around 1:30 p.m. PT, followed by the conference call scheduled at 2 p.m. PT (5 p.m. ET). The call is expected to last an hour with an in depth discussion of the earnings report followed by the Q&A section from the analyst and investors.

According to the company’s fiscal calendar, the second fiscal quarter consists of the months January, February and March. Hence, this earnings report will present the revenue and profits earned by Apple during the past three months, which is, to be more precise — December 27, 2020 through March 27, 2021.

This period of the year tends to be relatively quiet for Apple. However, with many Apple Stores reopening around the world, the discontinuation of the original HomePod and iMac Pro, as well as no March event or any recent product launches, it will be interesting to see what the company's earnings for this second fiscal quarter will be.

This earnings report also follows Apple’s record-breaking Q1 2021 earnings with a total of $111.4 billion in revenue and $28.8 billion quarterly net profit.

Notably, Apple did not provide any guidance to the investors for Q2 2021 due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Q1 2020 was the last quarter when guidance was issued, after which Apple suspended the guidelines for the upcoming quarters due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company even stated that Q2 2020 would be the first time the earnings and guidance would be affected, which later on turned to be true. Still and all, according to 27 analyst estimates averaged by Yahoo Finance, the company is expected to report significantly higher revenue of around $76.9 billion for this fiscal Q2 2021. Supposedly, if this comes out to be true, it will surpass Apple’s record second fiscal quarter revenue of $61.1 billion which was set in the 2018 fiscal year. Regardless, Apple has flourished financially amidst the pandemic, as it saw a significant increase in the number of customers who relied on the company for getting a new product to work, learn and connect from home.

As far as it goes for this earnings call, it will be live streamed by Apple on its Investor Relations Website.
