  • Apple has acquired another building in Munich, Germany for 251 million euros as part of its plan to expand its European Center for Chip Design.
  • The building is located near the Karlstrasse where the company is currently building a European Silicon Design Center and the acquisition provides additional space for Apple's operations in Munich.
  • The investment in the Seidlstrasse is part of Apple's long-term strategy of investing over one billion euros in Germany, particularly in Munich, where it aims to establish a hub for technology and innovation.

Apple has made a new addition to its European operations with the purchase of a building located at Seidlstrasse 15-19 in Munich, Germany for 251 million euros. This acquisition will provide Apple with extra space to continue its growth in the region. The building is situated close to the Karlstrasse, where Apple is in the process of constructing its European Silicon Design Center.
In March 2021, Apple has already announced to invest more than a billion euros in Germany and started building their European Silicon Design Center. This move to acquire the Seidlstrasse building is in line with that plan and is a great step forward in Apple's commitment to the region. Bavaria is already home to many tech giants and Apple's continued investment in the area reinforces its status as a hub for technology and innovation. Image credit: Süddeutsche Zeitung The budget committee of the CSU parliamentary party in the state parliament has paved the way for this Apple settlement in Munich, further stating the company's intentions to grow its European Center in the city. According to the "Süddeutsche Zeitung", the 251 million euro purchase price was almost 30 million euros higher than the value determined by the Free State of Bavaria.

Apple's purchase of the Seidlstrasse building in Munich, Germany is a clear sign of the company investing in Europe and growing its European Center for Chip Design. With this latest acquisition, Apple will have even more space to continue its innovative work and contribute to Bavaria's reputation as a hub for technology and innovation.
