Gurman: New 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs coming by WWDC
- According to Mark Gurman, new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs are coming soon.
- The new devices will feature either M2 or M3 chips, though it is still unclear which.
- The new models will reportedly be released "between late spring and summer."
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, an updated 13-inch MacBook Air and a new 15-inch MacBook Air are coming soon, “between late spring and summer.” While the launch of these models is rumored, the chips they will use are reportedly still unclear.

Gurman says it’s likely that at least the new 13-inch MacBook Air will feature the upcoming M3 chip with improved performance, but that is not set in stone. The current 13-inch MacBook Air, released last July, features an M2 chip.
It’s unclear whether the 15-inch MacBook Air will feature an M2 or M3 chip. According to Gurman, “A 15-inch MacBook Air with an M2 chip may still excite consumers, but a new M2 13-inch MacBook Air is unlikely to be compelling. So it’s plausible that Apple is gearing up for at least the new 13-inch model to be an M3 machine.”

A new 15-inch MacBook Air would be the largest MacBook Air ever, with previous iterations being in either 11-inch or 13-inch sides. Apple reportedly started production of the new 15.5-inch display panels for this device in February.
These new MacBook Air will reportedly come by this summer, with WWDC being the latest release possibility, according to Gurman.
