iPhone 15 Pro leak shows new volume and mute buttons
- New CAD files show the heavily rumored unified volume button coming to the iPhone 15 Pro.
- The Pro iPhone models this fall could feature solid-state volume rockers and new mute buttons.
- This follows previous rumors on the topic.
It was recently rumored that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a unified solid-state volume button and mute button. Newly leaked CAD images, posted by ShrimpApplePro on Twitter, corroborate this rumor in more detail.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will reportedly feature a single unified volume button rather than separated buttons like previous models. The mute switch will also reportedly be replaced by a new mute button.

According to the rumors, both of these new buttons will have a solid-state design, using haptic feedback rather than physical movement when pressed. This is similar to how the Force Touch trackpad on recent Macs works.
While the Pro models will get this new change, the new CAD images shared today show that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will maintain the current separate volume buttons and moving mute switch. With more leaks inevitably coming soon, Apple will officially announce the iPhone 15 lineup in September.
