  • MagSafe Duo charger costs $129 in the US.
  • Requires a USB-C power adapter, sold separately.
  • Apple is saying that the MagSafe Duo will be shipped within one business day.

Just under two months after its announcement during Apple’s October event, the MagSafe Duo wireless charger is now finally available from Apple’s store. The MagSage Duo is unique because it allows users to charge both the iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. Apple is releasing Duo as an attempt to replace AirPower, which was discontinued before it was officially available to customers. MagSafe for iPhone and MagSafe Duo charger were announced with the iPhone 12 in October, but until now the regular MagSafe charger was the only one available. At the time, Apple said the MagSafe Duo charger would be available “at a later date.”

The MagSafe Duo charger costs $129 in the US and requires a USB-C power adapter, which is sold separately. You can purchase it from third-party retailers or from Apple. Although it works with the 20W USB-C adapter, it is limited to wireless charging up to 11W. Apple said in a statement that they recommend using a 27W or higher USB-C power adapter to reach up to 14W of wireless charge. Right now, Apple is saying that the MagSafe Duo will be shipped within one business day. This will most likely change within the next few days, so if you want one- now is the time!
