  • The program is for iPhone 11 units that may stop responding to touch due to an issue with the display module.
  • The recall does not affect iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max.
  • Visit Apple’s website (linked below) to check your iPhone 11.

Apple has officially announced their new iPhone 11 Recall Program. The program is for iPhone 11 units that may stop responding to touch due to an issue with the display module. Once the display module is replaced, the device will work properly again. It’s important to note that this recall only affects the regular iPhone 11, not the iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max.

From Apple:

Apple has determined that a small percentage of iPhone 11 displays may stop responding to touch due to an issue with the display module. Affected devices were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020.

If your iPhone 11 has been exhibiting this issue, please use the serial number checker below to see if your device is eligible for this program. If so, Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will provide service, free of charge.

If you’re experiencing issues like this with your device, visit here: https://support.apple.com/iphone-11-display-module-replacement-program. If your device is impacted, Apple says they will provide service free of charge. Apple also noted that they may refuse free technical support for devices with physical damage. Our take: This has been an issue for a while, so it’s nice to see Apple addressing it with an easy to use repair program.
