Apple today announced new ways for Apple Music artists of any size to share and celebrate milestones with fans. This comes about a month after Apple redesigned the Apple Music for Artists website with details about Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos. The new Milestones feature will allow artists to share achievements with fans through other platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram Stories.
Share your big moments right from the Apple Music for Artists iOS app. With just a few taps you can let your fans know about new playlists featuring your songs, how many Shazams you have in a given country or region, and other notable milestones you’ve hit on Apple Music.
Apple Music for Artists will now automatically generate Milestones for all artists, which will include new highs for streams and Shazams, as well as features on popular Apple Music playlists. Milestones can then be shared by artists and their teams via the Apple Music for Artists iOS app. Each milestone will come in three image sizes that artists can choose from to share.
This Milestones feature acts in a similar way to the year-end Apple Music Replay and Recap features, except it is available for artists rather than users and features sales and streaming data for songs, albums, playlists, and more.
Milestones for artists on Apple Music are now available to all artists via the Apple Music for Artists iOS app. This feature is currently not available online on the Apple Music for Artists website. More information about Milestones is available on the Apple Music for Artists website.
