Apple releases iOS & iPadOS 14.8
- iOS 14.8 and iPadOS 14.8 are now available.
- The update hasn’t been in beta testing and is out now for everyone.
Apple has released iOS 14.8 to the public, with minor security fixes. iPadOS 14.8 is also available today.
The release marks the final major update to iOS 14, following iOS 14.7 in July, which included support for the MagSafe Battery Pack.
iOS 14.8 is available to install in Settings > General > Software Update on the iPhone 6s and later. The update fixes two major security flaws, including a WebKit vulnerability which could’ve allowed malicious web content to execute code.
Apple will continue to release minor updates to iOS 14 with security fixes, but will release new features with future updates to iOS 15. Users can choose to stay on iOS 14 or upgrade to iOS 15, Apple has said.
