Apple’s 2021 iPhones may come in bronze and matte black
- Apple’s new iPhones may come in new orange/bronze color, as well as a new matte black option, according to Max Weinbach.
- Weinbach also notes that the Pro models will be getting a new stainless-steel coating to repel fingerprints and smudges.
- Weinbach says that portrait mode will “now rely heavily on a new process that combines both data from the lenses as well as LiDAR.”
New leaks suggest that Apple’s 2021 iPhones may bring two new colors. In EverythingApplePro’s latest video, which is a collaboration with reliable analyst Max Weinbach, the leaker reveals that the device may come in new orange/bronze colors — as well as a new matte black option. Weinbach also says that the Pro models will also be upgraded to a new stainless-steel coating that can repel fingerprints and smudges.
Apple’s new iPhones will have … a new lens design, matte black color, bronze/copper color, new anti-fingerprint coating, tiny notch, bigger batteries, NO portless models, 1TB storage, smaller logic boards & so much more!
The new color will apparently be exclusive to the Pro models, and is said to be a reworking of the current graphite shade. It matches up with an Apple patent we caught sight of at the end of last year, which said that the company was working on a matte black finish for both the iPhone and Apple Watch. From MacRumors:
iPhone 13 will come with a matte black option for the Pro and Pro Max models, a new stainless steel coating that reduces smudges and fingerprints, a new rear-camera design, and improved noise cancelation with beamforming for phone calls.
When it comes to cameras, Weinbach says that portrait mode will “now rely heavily on a new process that combines both data from the lenses as well as LiDAR.” He also says Apple is working on a new “image stabilization correction” to keep subjects in focus while shooting video, and that the camera bump doesn’t extrude as much from the back of the device. Finally, he expects larger batteries and improved battery life.
Previous rumors have stated that Apple’s next iPhone will also feature an always-on display, a smaller notch, a 1TB storage option, LiDAR support, Ultra Wide camera improvements, 120Hz ProMotion and more.
