- The new design includes new sidebar navigation.
- Apple has included the redesign in the macOS 13.3 beta but is it disabled by default.
According to a new report from 9to5Mac, it seems Apple is working on a redesigned TV app for macOS. 9to5Mac was able to gain access to the redesign, which is included in the latest macOS 13.3 beta but disabled by default.
According to images, the biggest change is the move to sidebar navigation for the app. This brings the macOS app in line with the version on iPadOS, which gained sidebar navigation with iPadOS 15.2. Within the sidebar, there are sections for Apple TV, Store, Library, Devices, and Playlists.

Though the new design appears very different at first, it seems that the redesigned navigation is one of the only changes. Although, the app previously only offered a tab bar on top for navigation, so this is a welcome improvement.
The new changes are included in the latest beta of macOS 13.3, however, they are disabled by default. It is unclear when Apple plans to bring this new navigation on the macOS TV app to all users.
