Apple may release an Apple Music app for PlayStation 5
- According to users on Reddit, Apple Music has been appearing on some PlayStation music service selection menus.
- This could indicate Apple is working on an app for PlayStation.
- Apple TV+ is available on PlayStation, but an Apple Music app has yet to be released.
Although most Apple services are exclusive to Apple devices, services such as Apple Music and Apple TV+ have historically been available on other platforms including Android, Windows, and Smart TVs. It now seems that Apple may be working on an Apple Music app for the PlayStation 5.
According to a PS5 user on Reddit, Apple Music has been showing up in system music service dialogues. Since an Apple Music app doesn’t currently exist, an error message appears when selecting the option. Another Reddit user suggested that Apple could also be working on the app for PlayStation 4.
Although Apple has yet to announce any such app, it would make sense considering an Apple TV+ app is available on PlayStation consoles now. Since Apple Music has been appearing in system dialogues, it is a good indication that Apple could be working on some arrangement with Sony for its new app.
