iPhone 13 Pro rumored to stick with 512GB storage option
- A new report today suggested Apple plans only minor updates with the next iPhone models.
- Pro models unlikely to be getting 1TB storage capacities.
- Smaller notch and high refresh-rate displays also expected.
Apple may limit the iPhone 13 lineup to a maximum 512GB of storage, a new report from TrendForce has suggested.
The new iPhones will have the same storage capacity options as their iPhone 12 counterparts. iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 models are available with 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of storage, while 12 Pro models have a 512GB option.
The research firm claimed that the iPhone 13 would be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage capacities, while the 13 Pro models will start at 128GB, with additional 256GB and 512GB options available. Previous rumors suggested that the iPhone 13 Pro would gain a 1TB option, following in the footsteps of recent iPad Pro models.
It also reiterates that all four devices will receive a smaller notch and relocated earpiece, but won’t see major design updates from the iPhone 12. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will also feature a 120HZ refresh rate, for smoother scrolling.
Apple is also rumored to improve the rear camera system on all four models with sensor-shift stablisation, a feature previously limited to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The 2021 iPhone lineup will include the same models as the iPhone 12, including the 5.4-inch mini model, two 6.1-inch models and the 6.7-inch Pro Max. Prices are expected to remain the same.
