Apple Event confirmed
- Apple has just sent out invitations for a launch event on April 20th at 10:00 AM PDT.
- The invitation’s tagline is “Spring Loaded.”
- Apple is set to reveal a set of new iPad Pros at the very least, with multiple other products and accessories also rumored to arrive at the event.
Apple has just sent out invitations for an Apple Special Event on April 20th at 10:00 AM PDT, just like Siri suggested it would earlier this morning. The invitation’s tagline refers to the event as “Spring Loaded,” which may be a subtle reference to the many products the company is expected to unveil next week. Given the last three Apple Events and the all-virtual upcoming WWDC 2021, this event is likely to take the form of a pre-produced video without a live audience.

According to recent reports, Apple is set to reveal a set of new iPad Pros at the very least — with persistent rumors also mentioning Apple Silicon Macs, AirPods, and possibly even those long-awaited AirTags trackers. New accessories in the form of iPhone 12 spring colored MagSafe cases have also been leaked several times.
According to multiple reports from last month, AirPods announcements are a possibility. Some of the names that have been thrown around include AirPods 3, AirPods Pro Lite or AirPods X. While recent leaks point to Apple preparing the AirPods 3 for launch, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (reliability: 80.95%) instead claims we should expect the model to arrive later in 2021 and not the event.
An update to Apple TV is also long overdue, but it may simply be a specifications bump rather than offering much in the way of new features.
Earlier this month, the company confirmed that its Worldwide Developer Conference would be fully virtual for the second year in a row, running from June 7-11. You will be able to watch the 'Spring Loaded' Apple Event live on Apple’s website or YouTube, as well as on certain Apple TV models.
