Let’s talk about the new and improved Siri Remote
- The new Siri remote is available for purchase separately for $59.99 and is backwards compatible with the previous Apple TV and Apple TV 4K.
- The new iteration features long awaited improvements regarding the sensitivity and durability of the remote.
- For previous Apple TV owners, upgrading their remote is a no brainer.
Out of all of the announcements at Apple’s “Spring Loaded” event in April (AirTags, the new M1 iMacs, and the iPad Pro) one of the most underrated was the announcement of an updated Apple TV 4K with an improved Siri Remote.
The Apple TV has been notoriously known for it’s terrible glass top trackpad remote which users have complained about for years. The biggest problem that plagued the previous iteration of the remote was the trackpad's oversensitivity which made it extremely difficult to navigate the Apple TV’s UI.
Other complaints about the remote included the fact that the remote’s thinness would lead it to often getting lost in the couch and that the glass on the front of the remote would crack after being dropped on hard surfaces.

Let us know your thoughts on the latest version of the Siri Remote and how your experience has been if you’ve upgraded.
