Watch: Apple releases ‘Spring Loaded’ product videos
- Apple has uploaded seven new videos to their YouTube channel.
- The promotional videos highlight features and announce the new products unveiled at this morning’s 'Spring Loaded' event.
After this morning’s slew of new Apple product announcements at the 'Spring Loaded' event, Apple has uploaded several new promotional videos on their YouTube channel. The company highlighted several of the new features, use cases and designs of their new devices with Apple’s signature polish and video prowess. Here are all the new stunning videos, sorted by product.
AirTag:
Although AirTag has been leaked in its entirety over the two years that have passed since we first heard rumors of the accessory, we finally have an official announcement for the item tracker — as well as a look at some of its key features with a new promotional video. In the amusing video titled "Couch", Apple plays with the idea that the that gap in your sofa is much deeper that you think, especially when you try to fish out lost keys. With its subtle references and overall charm, the video does a great job of feature the brand new AirTag.
iPhone 12:
While the announcement of a new iPhone 12 color was a small one, Apple decided that this unexpected update to the world's most popular smartphone warranted a video. Naturally, Apple crafted an over-the-top piece on the product in which the phone is painted it’s purple hue, all set to “The Candy Man” by Leslie Bricusse.
iMac:
After much anticipation, many articles and high expectations, the brand new iMac is here. It would be egregiously erroneous to call the 2021 a refresh or update to last year's model, from its breathtaking design, nostalgic colours and show stopping performance, this new iMac redefines the whole category of Mac after which it is named. To publicize this prodigious product, Apple uploaded two promotional videos; one short advertisement focusing on the iMac’s new colorways and design, and another longer overall feature rundown.
iPad Pro:
It appears that the product that got the most time in the 'Spring Loaded' event has also merited the most videos. The new iPad Pro may not have been the most unexpected launch at today’s event, there is still a laundry list of fantastic new features in this year's refresh. Perhaps that’s why it has gotten the most additional coverage from Apple on YouTube out of all the new products: the more outstanding features like M1 and mini-LED, the more videos you need to cover the product. In the first of three videos, Apple goes over the iPad Pros many new features and covers some of the old ones some viewers may be unfamiliar with, such as the ones from iPadOS 14.
The second (and most hilarious) video is a wacky heist themed advert featuring disguised CEO Tim Cook performing acrobatics and robbing his own Apple HQ! While the video is entertaining, it also introduced the inclusion of the M1 chip in the iPad Pro (the first non-Mac device to get the chipset) making the video a must-watch.
Finally, Apple’s longest promotional piece is also on the iPad Pro, and features developers. The video is an insight to what apps and experiences developers are able to create on iPad Pro thanks to the blazing fast M1 chip. While the reactions of the developers may be slightly exaggerated for the camera, the M1’s performance is truly spectacular and the possibilities described by the developers are astonishing. However, you should be warned; it may cause you to want the iPad Pro even more.
