Apple rolls out Xcode Cloud beta testing to developers
- Starting today, Apple has begun notifying developers of this option.
- The final build of Xcode Cloud will be available this fall and will be included in Xcode 13.
Xcode Cloud, which was announced at WWDC21 earlier this month, will bring many new features to developers.
From Apple:
Xcode Cloud is a new continuous integration and delivery cloud service designed specifically for Apple developers. Built into Xcode 13, Xcode Cloud offers a fast and simple way for developers and teams of all sizes to build, test, and deliver high-quality apps even more efficiently. Xcode Cloud can automatically build apps in the cloud to free up developers' Macs for other tasks. Parallel testing in the cloud means developers can test on a simulated version of every current Apple device, then easily deploy a build of the app for internal testing, or deliver to external beta testers through TestFlight for instant feedback.
Since WWDC21, a waitlist has been available for developers who would like to try out Xcode Cloud, but today, they are finally able to test it out. The only requirement for this beta of Xcode Cloud is a mac running the latest Xcode 13 beta. Apple has begun sending emails to several developers, making them aware of this beta option.
For developers who want to wait until the final build is released before trying out Xcode Cloud, it is expected to be released this fall alongside Xcode 13 and macOS Monterey.Xcode Cloud, let’s goooo pic.twitter.com/Fj9l8R1bsj
